Device Lock is used to lock your device during specific time windows. While the plan is active, you cannot use the device.
Two Main Actions
Lock screen
While the plan is active, your screen is locked and you may need to enter your Windows password again to get back to the desktop.
Shutdown
While the plan is active, your computer is shut down.
Before You Start
If you create a long Timer Mode device-lock plan, or a weekly scheduled one, it is a good idea to write down:
- when the plan ends
- which time windows it stays inactive
Otherwise, once the plan activates, you may not be able to check its details from the computer itself because the device is unavailable.
