FocusLeaf Privacy Policy

Effective Date: June 12, 2026

Welcome to FocusLeaf. This Privacy Policy explains how we handle your information when you visit our website or use the FocusLeaf desktop software. We prefer to keep your data on your local device, collecting only the minimal information necessary to maintain our basic services.

1. Information We Collect and How We Use It

To provide you with software licensing and support services, we collect the following minimal necessary information:

  • Email Address: When you purchase the software, we require you to provide an email address. This email is used to send you purchase receipts and software License Keys, provide customer support, and notify you about important software updates or new versions.
  • License Verification Information: When you activate and run FocusLeaf, the software communicates with our verification servers to periodically verify your License Key and your device's unique identifier (Device ID). This data is used solely to check whether your license is valid and whether the device installation limit has been exceeded.

2. Locally Stored Data

FocusLeaf is an application that runs locally. All of your core usage data is saved locally on your computer:

  • Application Data: Your focus records, time statistics, blocking rules, task lists, and other related information are stored solely on your local device (by default, in your system's application data folder). We do not sync, upload, or back up this data to our servers.
  • Log Files: Crash or error logs generated while the software is running are kept only on your local machine. Unless you actively send these logs to us when seeking technical support, we do not have access to them.

3. Third-Party Payments and Website Services

  • Payment Processing: When you purchase our software on our official website, the transaction is processed by third-party payment service providers. We do not collect, process, or store your credit card numbers or financial account information. Your payment data is handled securely by these third-party institutions in accordance with their respective privacy policies.
  • Website Analytics: To optimize the layout and purchasing experience of our website, we collect certain anonymous website access data (such as time spent on pages, download clicks, visiting countries, and A/B testing participation). This data is completely anonymous.

4. Children's Privacy

This product and service are not directed to children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from minors. If we discover that we have inadvertently collected such data, we will take steps to delete it.

5. Updates to the Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make material changes to how we process data, we will notify you via our official website or the email address you provided, and we will update the "Effective Date" at the top of this document.
