FocusLeaf is a distraction blocker for desktop operating systems. It blocks distracting websites and applications to help you stay focused, maintain a healthy routine, and control screen time.

Q Which desktop systems does FocusLeaf support?

FocusLeaf currently only supports Windows, with a macOS version under development. In most cases, using the Enhanced Web Blocking mode can also block web access from Linux systems running on Windows, such as VMware Linux virtual machines or WSL.

Q Which browsers does FocusLeaf support?

In Enhanced Web Blocking mode, FocusLeaf blocks web pages at the system network level, covering mainstream, niche, embedded, and any other browsers you can find. In Standard mode, FocusLeaf supports 25+ browsers, including Chrome, Edge, Brave, Naver Whale, Firefox, Zen, Vivaldi, Arc, DuckDuckGo, Quark, QQ, and more.

Q How does FocusLeaf block web pages?

FocusLeaf blocks web pages using proxy and browser technologies. It works without needing to install browser extensions.

Q Does FocusLeaf require administrator privileges?

Yes, FocusLeaf requires administrator privileges to implement hard-to-bypass distraction blocking.

Q Is FocusLeaf really hard to bypass?

Yes, FocusLeaf integrates cross-account blocking, time-tamper protection, app disguise recognition, system-wide web blocking, and uninstall protection, making it virtually impossible to bypass a locked plan.

Q Can I still use FocusLeaf after the beta test phase ends?

After the beta phase ends, you will be prompted to update to the latest stable version of FocusLeaf. The beta version will no longer be available, and updating to the stable version will preserve your plan configurations. The beta testing period runs until August 1, 2026.

Q I made a mistake and locked myself out, what should I do?

You can go here to download the Force Uninstaller. If you encounter network connection issues, the Force Uninstaller will address them as well. If you have unresolved issues, please contact me via email.

Q Can I take a break or pause after a plan starts?

Yes, you can use multiple break methods. You can set daily/weekly/monthly usage limits, or type random text to get a break of a certain duration.
