Lock Modes

Locking a plan means you cannot casually stop it, uninstall the app, or easily back out until the plan unlocks or its locked duration ends.

What Changes After a Plan Is Locked

Before you lock a plan, check carefully that the blocklist and lock duration are both correct.

While a plan is locked, you can only make it stricter. Any setting that would make the plan less strict becomes unavailable.

After setting up a lock mode, click the lock icon to the left of the plan switch to lock the plan manually.

Some lock-related behaviors do not require manual locking. Once the plan starts, they lock automatically based on the configured rules, including auto-lock and scheduled lock behavior.

For example:

• In a blocking plan, you can keep adding more blocked items, but you cannot add more exceptions.
• In a Deep Focus plan, if you already enabled block-all for apps or websites, you cannot add more allowed apps or websites while the plan is locked. If you just enabled a new allowlist, you may still add items before saving, but once that save is complete you cannot add more until the plan unlocks.
• In Timer Mode, you can increase the duration but not reduce it.
• In Weekly Schedule mode, you cannot delete existing time windows, but you can add more.
• In Usage Limit, you cannot increase the available allowance, but you can reduce it.
• In Typing Challenge breaks, you can only increase the random character length or reduce the break duration.
• In Bypass Prevention, any enabled protection setting becomes locked and cannot be turned off.
• Enabled Check Scope settings also become locked and cannot be turned off.
• Other settings that affect strictness become locked for the same reason.

Flexible

The plan is not locked, so you can edit it or stop it at any time.

Timed Lock

Timed Lock keeps the plan locked for a duration or until a specific date and time. After the plan starts, click the lock button next to the plan switch to lock it.

If Auto-close plan on unlock is enabled, the plan unlocks and closes automatically when the unlock time arrives. If it is disabled, the plan only unlocks, and you still need to stop it manually.

Auto-lock

In Timer Mode

When the plan starts, it locks automatically and stays locked until the timer ends. At that point, the plan unlocks and closes automatically.

In Weekly Schedule

Auto-lock locks the plan automatically when an active schedule window begins, then unlocks it after that window ends. This means you cannot stop the plan while it is inside an active schedule window.

You can also lock in advance. For example, if you choose to lock the plan 30 minutes before it becomes active, and the scheduled window starts at 09:00, then the plan locks at 08:30.

Scheduled Lock

Scheduled Lock automatically locks or unlocks the plan after it has started, based on the time windows you configure.

• Lock during schedule windows: the plan is locked only during the specified windows, and unlocked outside them.
• Unlock during schedule windows: the plan is unlocked only during the specified windows, and locked at all other times.

The second option is stricter, so make sure the unlock windows are long enough.

Password

Set a password that must be entered before the plan can be unlocked. After the plan starts, use the lock button next to the plan switch to lock it. Once locked, clicking that button opens the password input window. Entering the correct password unlocks the plan.

Typing Challenge

Use a typing-based unlock requirement. After the plan starts, lock it with the lock button next to the plan switch. Once locked, clicking that button opens the text input window. Entering the correct text unlocks the plan.

Available options:

• Random Characters: type randomly generated characters to unlock the plan. You can set the challenge length up to 1000 characters. The longer it is, the harder the unlock becomes.
• Preset Text: type a phrase that you define in advance to unlock the plan. Preset text also supports up to 1000 characters.

Session Lock

Session Lock is available only for Deep Focus plans in Timer Mode.

• You need to click the lock button manually to lock the plan.
• The plan unlocks automatically when the current focus session ends.
